Literature Text

i.
your love is like a visit to the dentist, with
aching hearts and aching teeth.

your words start off as syrupy sweet
and i swish them around in my
mouth, until i can barely speak.

slowly but surely, you
embed yourself into my teeth.
you rot my insides and
pulled 'till i bleed.

it hurts so bad, but i
can't stop listening. and
the painkillers i take
don't last for eternity.

ii.
your love is a visit to the dentist.

you're bad for me;
bad to the core, yet
i hesitate to have you gone
(i did not hesitate for too long)

there was a time when
everything became numb
and i wasn't ready, but
then it was done.

iii.
life goes on after your love.

the first day after, i was
raw and red. and
the medicine wasn't working
as fast as they said.

there's an impression of you
in my mouth. a
lingering taste of blood
that i long to wash out.

i notice your presence (or
rather the lack of it)
whenever i eat. the words
don't sound as good as they did.

it seems i have lost my sweet tooth.
inspired by a visit to the dentist. not very pretty.

Who hurt you and made you so sad? I will find them! Lol but seriously this is so good but so sad! The metaphor is amazing :3
